Studies have been conducted in Mexico to assess the impact that insect-protected and herbicide-tolerant GMO maize may have on non-target insects.   Both single trait (herbicide tolerant only) and stacked (insect protected and herbicide tolerant) GMO maize were tested. Data was collected from 32 sites to represent the four diverse ecological regions where corn is grown in northern Mexico. The results indicate that the GMO corn had no adverse effects on non-target insects, including beneficial insects. These results support conclusions reported from a similar study conducted across the United States, Argentina and Brazil). The full journal article can be accessed by clicking here. –
