As part of managing Pannar’s sustainable business strategy, the company continues to refine and invest across its global network to sharpen focus on priority markets and crops. This helps the business drive targeted investments on work that delivers value to farmers.

Pannar will continue to evaluate options so that it remains a reliable and sustainable supplier of sorghum hybrids to the South African market using global germplasm resources including the Pannar pool. The intention is that grain sorghum will remain an integral part of Pannar’s multicrop product range in the future. The company is committed to the crop and farmers will be able to procure seed through the normal business channels.

Pannar’s grain sorghum breeding programme is part of the global programme of Corteva Agriscience™, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, which means it can source internationally, from a wide range of the best genetics and lines.
