Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA) is excited to announce that FlySafair senior management confirmed that bookings can now be made for hunting firearms. The airline operator is ready to reliably accommodate passengers and their firearms on domestic flights to the Eastern Cape.

This project is the result of a collaborative effort between Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), WRSA, the Professional Hunters’ Association of South Africa (PHASA), the Confederation of Hunting Associations of South Africa (CHASA), Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA), Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC), NMB Airlift Committee, and FlySafair. We commend the efforts of Anthony Groom, Rory Haschick, and Eardley Rudman for driving this initiative.

The handling and transporting of firearms will only include shotguns and rifles, as well as ammunition. No handguns or modern sporting rifles may be transported. This feature is only available for departures after 1 February 2021 and it will be available for any adult who has booked a standard or premium fare. The price will be R1 150 per person per segment. The service is limited to five per flight.
