Indigenous crops revived at Stellenbosch University

In the Plaas TV episode of 2 October, the biggest agrochemical solution provider in South Africa, AECI Plant Health, kicks off the first episode in their series. We chat to Quintin Cross about their services to the agricultural community.

The Plaas TV team visited Ethel Phiri from Stellenbosch University to chat to her about something we rarely get a chance to focus on, underutilized and indigenous crops. We hear what she has to say about her research on these wonderful plants. Indigenous crops refer to crops that have their origin in South Africa as well as crops that were introduced into the country and are now considered to be traditional crops.
