“Without additional efforts to promote pro-agricultural investments, some 653 million people will still be undernourished in 2030.” This is according to Theo van der Veen, Business Development Executive, UFF African Agri Investments, as published in the Old Mutual Investment Group’s 2018 Investment Outlook.

“By 2050, Africa’s population will swell to 2.4 billion – that will be 25% of the global population. That means food production in sub-Saharan Africa needs to increase by 60% over the next 15 years to feed our growing population,” says Van der Veen.
