According to a recent article on Science Daily, Plant scientists at Iowa State University measured the time it takes for maize to move water from their roots to their lower leaves and then to their upper leaves. Two types of maize were measured with graphene-based sensors on tape that can be attached to plants and provide new data to researchers and farmers. These tapes are affordable and easy to produce. This tool can be used to breed plants that use water more efficiently. Click here to learn more. – Science Daily
