SASDT year-end shines light on dairy industry

The South African Society of Dairy Technology (SASDT) year-end function took place on 7 November at Ramkiki in Roodepoort. Lake Foods sponsored the event. Jompie Burger from the Dairy Standard Agency opened the event and Stephan Steyn president of SASDT gave a quick overview of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) World Dairy Summit that took place from 23 to 26 September 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey. 

The main topic of the summit was ‘Positive news 2019 and beyond’. Although things in the dairy industry have been tough, the market is growing. The date for the next IDF World Dairy Summit was also announced and it will take place from 28 September 2020 to 1 October 2020 in Cape Town.
