Sheep farmers in Wales stand to be the biggest losers if the Brexit settlement deal which is negotiated by the UK government, does not include a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union (EU) market. The Welsh lamb meat market is heavily dependent on exports as 95% of its imports go to the EU. The trade association responsible for the Welsh meat promotion told Global Meat News that Wales is facing a difficult future if this trade deal falls through.
